Dr. Bassam Elmadhoun is currently managing the Technical Training Department of PSI. He is responsible for the design, maintenance and delivery of GxP & Quality Compliance Training. He is a Principle GxP consultant at  BETCO Consulting and Quality Auditor with over 17 years of experience in the management of pharmaceutical quality system.

Dr. Elmadhoun received his B.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Science from King Saud University, Saudi Arabia and a PhD degree in Pharmacy from the University of Manitoba, Canada. He has The Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada and practiced the profession of pharmacy in the provinces of Manitoba and Ontario. He began his career as a pharmacist in a microbiology laboratory in sterile drug manufacturing. His career has incorporated a range of senior technical positions as well as several years in the Quality Division of PSI. His preceding role in the industry was Director of Quality and Compliance for PSI operations.

Dr. Elmadhoun has gained extensive experience and knowledge in quality and regulatory compliance, internal and external pharmaceutical audits, coordination of regulatory inspections, GxP training, validation services, and customer claims/quality failure investigations. 

Dr. Elmadhoun was also an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics and has taught courses in pharmaceutics, biopharmceutics, pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacokinetics. He has several publications in the area of pharmaceutics and pharmacology. Most recently, Dr. Elmadhoun was certified by the American Society for Quality as a Pharmaceutical GMP Professional.
